As we enter the coldest and darkest season of the year, nature itself takes a pause, a time for rejuvenation. I encourage you to step out of the bustling city life and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the countryside. experience quietude, and observe nature at rest.
In this season, I find myself needing more sleep—1 to 2 hours more than at any other time of the year. It’s a natural response to the prolonged darkness and an opportunity for our bodies to recharge.
Consider incorporating moments of rest into your day, whether it’s a short nap, a break on the couch, or even some quiet time outdoors. Remember, we are not just human doings; we are human beings.
If you have children, make it a family affair. When they rest, take a moment for yourself. It might seem challenging with our endless to-do lists, but trust me, giving yourself more time for rest will enhance your overall productivity and well-being.
Your pleasure matters, and rest is a vital contributor to it. It nourishes your vital organs, enabling you to be more present and engaged in life’s pleasures.
