Simply taking a moment to thank the universe for the sustenance on your plate can make a significant difference.

The second tip involves being present during your meal. Disconnect from technology, focus on your food and engage your senses. Research suggests that making sounds while eating, such as saying “Mm mm mm,” can actually aid digestion. This simple act sends positive messages from your brain to your digestive system, prompting a more relaxed state in your stomach, spleen, and pancreas.
