Remember Miguel’s 2nd Agreement – Don’t Take Things Personal!
My tip for you today is to remember the second agreement by Don Miguel. Don’t take anything personal.
It’s not personal. It has nothing to do with you. One of my other coaches has said what other people think of you is none of your business. It has nothing to do with you. It’s about them. And when we love ourselves deeply enough, we don’t need their approval, and we’re also not attached to any criticism that others give us.
If we love ourselves deeply enough, we know that’s not about me, and we can still be kind, right?
We don’t have to lash back instead just be kind and hold this space for them so that they find their self-love and peace.
So it’s not about you. What others do is also not about you. It’s not personal. It’s their stuff.
One of my coaching mentors has said that sometimes best way to improve a relationship is to have less contact.
So don’t take things personally, And I promise, if you do that, you’ll have less stress and more pleasure!
